Vintage Swedish Tapestry Rug, Origin: Sweden, Circa: Mid-Century – This vintage Swedish tapestry rug showcases a tremendous expressionist work of art adapted in a luxurious textile format that maintains the painterly textures and brush-stroke details. The energetic composition of this vintage rug embodies expressionist principles with gripping colors, austere outlines and graphic designs that have an overpowering intensity. The clear porcelain white background is emblazoned with a natural combination of dramatically stylized birds, devious serpents and ambiguous egg-like roundels that are depicted in a surreal environment.
