Beautiful Geometric And Higly decorative Small Scatter Size Antique Tabriz Persian Rug , Country of Origin / Rug Type: Persian Rug, Circa Date: 1920 – This beautiful geometric antique Persian Tabriz rug is a masterpiece of soft and symmetrical splendor. Soft creamy tan tones are beautifully complemented with a pastel blue hue. A distinctly magnificent vibe is created by the intriguing centerpiece imagery and its elaborate and wide framing border. This gorgeous antique Persian rug exudes an impression of archaic royalty, but, at the same time, its simple charm embodies a more tribal or even contemporary allure.
The central field of this antique Tabriz Persian rug is a rustic light powered blue background color. Against this soft blue color, fascinating open primitive designs are rendered in a milky tan hue. Horizontally oriented hexagon shapes are molded together in a mesh like display with bold edges and intricately designed centers.
These bold figures in the create three columns, which occupy the entire central area of this small scatter size rug. The middle of each shape is a symmetrical cross adornment with two circular pomegranate design elements at each side and two flowers at each end.
The elegant frame is a wide strand of creamy tan. Precisely rendered lines, which connect a single file arrangement of light blue flowers, are etched into the dense surface. Two slender strands, which are decorated with an exquisite brown pattern, embellish each side of the main border.
When viewed closely, the light blue floral patterns in the border of this beautiful antique Tabriz Persian rug are not random. They actually depict a very basic and primitive version of the iconic Persian Mostofi design. This design is said to represent an eagle in flight. In this case, each eagle is clutching a blue flower, as if to take it back to its nest.
The artistry of this marvelous antique Tabriz Persian rug is beautifully presented through each ornamentation, color and image. Although it is an antique rug, this Oriental carpet displays a refreshing modern contemporary rug vibe through its soft allure. This marvelous masterpiece is sure to add a lovely charm to any interior design setting.
