Finely Woven and Beautifully Decorative Antique Persian Khorassan Rug, Country Of Origin; Persia, Circa Date: 1900 — This absolutely breath-taking antique rug — a magnificent antique Khorassan Persian rug, produced in what is now modern day Iran — is a paragon of the aesthetics of classic Persian rug design. A classic Persian arabesque medallion composition graces the field of this refined and subtle antique Persian Khorassan rug. Within the main outlines of the design, a delicate, lace-like mesh of tiny flowers spreads across the surface, more noticeable against the dark blue ground at the center around the medallion.
