Beautiful Antique Dragon Persian Kerman Cypress Tree Design Rug, Country of Origin: Persia, Circa date: 1880 – The cypress tree is one of the most popular designs used in Persian art. The cypress tree is an evergreen, which symbolizes everlasting life, similar to the tree of life design. Graceful cypress trees were used in formal garden designs, rising from the landscape to meet the heavens. They were often used to provide structure to the garden design and served as one of the most prominent feature elements.
Condition
Lot # 302 is in a fair to good condition. The pile is low and evenly worn . The two ends have a partially missing rows and secured. The sides are complete and secured. There is no dryness in the foundation. This rug is clean and floor ready.
