Collectible Tribal Geometric Antique Rustic Caucasian Karachopf Kazak Area Rug, Country of origin: Caucasian Rug, Circa date: 1880 – Karachopf (sometimes pronounced Karachov) is a type of Kazak rug that was created by Armenian weavers who lived high in the Caucasus Mountains. They are known for their beauty and are becoming more difficult to find on the open market. This one is a beautiful piece that dates to the 1880s and would make a gorgeous piece to add to your collection.
Condition
Lot # 311 is in a fair condition. The pile is low with areas of oxidized browns. There are scattered areas of re-pilling in the rug. There are minor loss of few rows at both ends and there are hand secured. The sides are complete and secured. There is no dryness in the foundation. This rug is clean and floor ready.
