- Lot Description
This is a fantastic 1960’s era Yokohama air hat! Not only is the helmet an early style based on a Bob Kirby design, but the helmet was used for years by a noted commercial diver and consignor of this collection. The helmet simply exudes the nature of commercial diving in our opinion. The helmet was used extensively but was well taken care of. The typical shallow working dents are present, giving this hat a patina usually only seen on much older helmets. The helmet features a Johnson double exhaust valve modification, Kepner non-return valve, Marsh Marine communication connector, breastplate exhaust for state decompression and overhead ship work. Simply put, this helmet was used by a master diver and was modified as such. Item A-A22 Helmet stands are NOT included.
