- Lot Description
This is one of the most uniquely designed helmets we have ever handled. Constructed by a skilled craftsman, this helmet is made of multiple pieces of copper. The upper half is 14 curved pieces, all secured together from the inside. The neck area is also copper. The lower breastplate area is galvanized steel, and the top handle is steel. A very thick glass window is present and cracked but secure. Two metal extensions on the left and right side extend out. An air fitting on the upper back side makes this helmet functional for multiple purposes. It is possible this helmet was used for shallow water diving, work in a mine or sandblasting duties. Helmet measures 18.5 inches tall, 15 inches wide and 13 inches deep. Only weighs approximately 10 pounds, so very easy to handle and display. This may be the ultimate homemade helmet and sure to attract attention wherever it is displayed!
All items will be shipped with a signature required upon delivery and full insurance either via FedEx or the USPS Priority Mail. Worldwide shipping is available; however, no ocean freight will be offered on large items. DHL express is an option for international shipments under 600 pounds via air. Shipping: Shipping fees listed with each lot pertain to domestic shipping only (contiguous or lower 48). International bidders are subject to higher shipping fees. Purchased items will be shipped on a first paid, first shipped basis and may take up to twenty (20) business days for said shipment to leave our (Nations Attic, Inc.) business. For time sensitive shipments, we (Nations Attic, Inc.) will expedite payment processing and shipping for a nominal fee. Items paid for by personal check are subject to a ten (10) business day hold for funds clearance. All domestic mainland items are shipped via FedEx ground or via USPS unless otherwise specified or requested by the customer. International shipments are shipped via USPS International or FedEx.
