- Lot Description
A vintage Diluter Demand Oxygen regulator is exceptionally good condition as seen. These regulators were the critical component that were adapted in garages and workshops around the nation and helped launch the sport of scuba diving. The July 1953 issue of Popular Mechanics showed how to convert these regulators for use underwater. A copy of that issue, plus one on skin diving from 1955 are included with this regulator. A label on the body of this regulator states that it was Overhauled, Inspected, and Tested on 12/28/ 34 (or 54) at Naval Air Station Norfolk Virginia. A great looking display piece of early American diving equipment.
All items will be shipped with a signature required upon delivery and full insurance either via FedEx or the USPS Priority Mail. Worldwide shipping is available; however, no ocean freight will be offered on large items. DHL express is an option for international shipments under 600 pounds via air.
