This is the desirable Morse Diving Equipment number 3A divers air pump. This model is considerably smaller than others, making it ideal for display in a home or office. The pump retains its original wood cabinet, two cast iron wheels, and other components shown in the photos. The pump was in the process of being restored years ago, which is why all the trim and hardware have been removed. The model 3A is a two-cylinder pump used by a single divers in water up to 100 feet. Morse Diving Equipment serial number 7238 which we believe dates the pump to the 1960s. The wood case measures 40.75 inches tall, 18 inches square with the shaft being 28 inches wide. The cast iron wheels are 31 inches in diameter. The wheels appear to have been painted or powder coated, which makes them difficult to slide onto the pump shaft. Loose parts include a brass water chute, pressure gauge, 2 brass plugs, 4 smaller steel corners. This pump would make an excellent restoration project. Pump will be secured to a pallet and shipped via FedEx Freight or can be picked up at Nations Attic facility in Wichita, Kansas. Please email for shipping quote.
