Regency rosewood and mahogany brass inlaid work table, rectangular hinged top having brass inlaid edges resting on ratchet support and slide to reveal leather backgammon well flanked by hinged demilune brass trimmed compartments on frame with scrolled supports joined by stepped shelf on four downswept members with brass paw feet, first quarter 19th century. (now lacking sewing basket) ht. 29 1/2in., wd. 28 1/2in., dp. 16 1/4in.
