To be sold with the original epaulets painted in the painting (lg. 10in.), matching dress belt, spurs, his brass telescope, and Tower U.S. Flintlock rifle and U.S. Navy dress sword with shagreen handle (rifle and sword are said to have belonged to Major General Striker) which possibly belonged to him, also two oil on canvas portraits of woman his wife Elizabeth Bella McDougal Striker (1784-1862) at a young age and an older age.
Lent to the Museum of the City of New York 1952-1972 and valued at the time by the museum for the value of $5,000.
