Crime and Punishment The Tottenham Murders 1909 Scarce Folding Memoriam Card "In Loving Memory of Police Constable Tyler aged 30 years and Ralph Joscelyne aged 10 years who were murdered by two aliens, in Tottenham Saturday January 23". Buried Jan 29th, at Abney Cemetery". Printed in black and silver on card. Folds out to size 23.5 x 8cm. Note: Two Anarchists from Russian Latvia armed with Mauser pistols tried unsuccessfully to rob a man delivering wages were chased through the streets of Tottenham by Police and many of the public then by Tram and when the tramlines ran out, through the streets, during which this Policeman and the Boy were shot & killed. These Anarchists were part of the gang which were involved in the Sydney Street shoot out with Army & Police in the East End of London in 1911 - Shipping Info
