Madrid, 1896. 8o. marquilla, 290 p. + 1 h. Primera edición, publicada póstumamente en Madrid. Ilustraciones de F. Mas y fotograbados de Laporta. Números de inventario en la pasta anterior y lomo. Texto con puntos de óxido. Encuadernado en pasta dura. Colección de cuentos cortos, del prolífico periodista, militar y escritor, Vicente Riva Palacio. Tras una destacada carrera militar y política, en la que resalta su actuación en contra de las fuerzas francesas, Riva Palacio es exiliado a España durante el gobierno de Porfirio Diaz; desde ahí es donde escribe la mayor parte de los presentes relatos, que verán la luz tras su muerte.
