El Perfil del Hombre y la Cultura en México.
México: Talleres de la Imprenta Mundial, 1934. 8o. marquilla, 179 p. + 2 h. Primera edición. Encuadernado en pasta dura, lomo en piel. "… a priori, no podemos ni afirmar ni negar la existencia de una cultura mexicana. A ejemplo del método cartesiano, que nos sirva esta duda para justificar la investigación que ahora vamos a emprender." Esta edición no incluye el apartado "El indígena y la civilización", el cual aparece hasta 1938. Este texto, además de ser uno de los primeros textos de filosofía mexicana, expone ideas que el autor desarrolla en su texto de 1940, "Hacía un Nuevo Humanismo." Véase en: página 7 y 8.
