"…dos interesantes relaciones inéditas… la Vida y Hechos de Pedro Menéndez de Avilés, compuesta en 1568 por Bartolomé Barrientos… es la historia más autorizada que yo conozca, de la expedición que envió a la Florida Felipe II en 1565… la otra, o sea la Relación de los Trabajos que la Gente de una Nao Llamada Ntra.
