Carlos Escobar León (Guerrero, Acapulco, 1914 - 1990).
Nogueras, Colima. Óleo sobre tela sobre masonite. Firmado. 48 x 78 cm. *El artista comenzó haciendo retratos de escenas de artistas del cine, imágenes como texanos dándose de puñetazos, disparando pistolas. Más adelante, se convirtió en un hábil caricaturista e inició a experimentar con varias técnicas, haciéndose especialista con la acuarela, el óleo y la pintura mural. Su obra es considerada el reflejo de su apego hacía las costumbres y usanzas de los pueblos y etnias del territorio mexicano.* Véase: www.ucol.mx
