Numerosas fotografías e ilustraciones en blanco y negro. Muchas de las fotografías fueron tomadas por el mismo autor, y se publican por primera vez en la presente edición. Sin cubierta. Encuadernado en pasta dura. Primera biografía definitiva de Porfirio Díaz. La cubierta, que rara vez sobrevive intacta, se encuentra ilustrada con una de las imágenes más icónicas de la gráfica mexicana, obra del maestro Carlos Mérida.
