Overall length opened 12-1/4", blade length 5-3/4". Circa 1845. Clip point, swedge both sides. Blade stamped by maker "Joseph Rogers & Sons Cutlers to Their Majesties 6 Norfolk Street Sheffield". Blade has gone grey, white pitting and some black spotting. One chip from sharpened edge. Belly in edge from over sharpening. German silver mounts. One of the classic folding Bowie crossguards incorporating floral and leaf design. Beautifully mellowed ivory scales, enhanced on each side with five rivets, shield name plate on left side. Horse head pommel. Folding lockback in good condition. Overall: 12-1/4"L.
