Overall length is 16", and blade length is 9". Circa 1850. Clip point with swedge on both sides. Blade is in wonderful condition. Shows some minor pitting, mostly towards the tip. There are minor surface scratches from careless cleaning. 80% original bright polish still present. Tip missing. Marked on the haft by maker "Wm Sansom & Co Kings Cutlers". German silver mounts. Cross guard has scroll and leaf design. Pommel is the largest of the horse heads. Stag grips are beautifully colored. Scabbard is red leather and tooled in floral and scroll designs. German silver mounts. Frog stud in throat mount. 5% peeling of outer red leather. Overall: 16" L.
