Mark Handforth (American, b. 1969), "American Tristar", 2004, wall-mounted fluorescent light assemblage, 150"h x 150"w - PROVENANCE: Estate of Pentti Kouri, NYC; Kim Heirston Art Advisory, NYC; This work is accompanied by a mounting diagram and certificate of authenticity signed by the artist - NOTES/LITERATURE: Dr. Pentti Kouri (1949-2009) was a Finnish economist and venture capitalist with partner George Soros. He built his prestigious art collection with the goal of opening a private art foundation focused on his interests in Minimalism, Arte Povera, Conceptual and Text-based art. He was a member of the Board of Trustees of Dia Art Foundation, and on the boards of Tate, London and the Guggenheim Museum, New York. The gallery will open for property pick-up on Monday, December 11 & Tuesday, December 12 from 10:00am to 4:00pm and by appointment after those dates. Purchases will be available for collection at the Millea Bros. auction gallery, located at 607 Myrtle Ave., Boonton, NJ 07005, for up to seven (7) business days following the completion of the auction. All merchandise not removed from the auction gallery by this time will be released to a third-party storage and shipping company, "DAKS Global Logistics" (tel: 484.370.8992, email: sales@daksglobal.com) in King of Prussia, PA and moved to their warehouse facility without further notice to the buyer. From that point forward, "Daks Global Logistics" will coordinate all shipping, delivery and collection arrangements. Daks Global Logistics will store merchandise free of charge for a period of up to (10) business days. After that period a one-time $25 handling fee will be assessed and a daily storage charge of $5 per lot/day will commence regardless of lot size or value. You may, of course, use any shipper you wish and no fees will be assessed, providing your purchases are retrieved from Daks Global Logistics by January 5th, 2018.
