20th c., (57) pieces, incl. a set of (11) Royal Doulton 'Countess' dinner plates, 10.5"dia, (8) Johnson Bros. 'Pareek' gilt banded dinner plates, (6) Minton for Tiffany & Co. gilt apple green banded flat rim bowls, 9"dia, and a partial set of George Jones & Sons 'Canterbury' china comprising (8) each: dinner plates, salad plates, bread plates, and saucers, 10.25"dia (dinner plates) - PROVENANCE: Property from a Litchfield, Connecticut Estate Collection
Condition
Good/Fair, Countess plates with heavy crazing and discoloration/staining, Pareek plates with crazing, knife marks, and gilding loss and rubs, one with rim chip issuing a hairline crack, Minton plates stained and discolored from being wrapped in green paper over a long period of time, Canterbury china with crazing, one salad plate with chipped rim, a few pieces with rim fleabite chips and edge roughness **Note: Condition reports are based on visual inspection under typical office lighting. Unless otherwise noted, items are not examined under UV light in advance of sale.
