French School (18th/19th c.), Portrait of three men, bust length, on brown paper, with "Ingres D Apres Masaccio" on verso, unidentified collection stamp lower right, 6.5"h x 8"w (sight), 11.5"h x 14"w (frame) - PROVENANCE: A Private Collection: 710 Park Avenue, NYC; Christie's, London, 9 December 1986, [lot 281] - NOTES/LITERATURE: Per the Frits Lugt website: "Les Marques de Collections de Dessins & d'Estampes, the collection mark, composed of the initials J and S or G and S, and the inscription "Semper Tibi", is affixed to the front at the bottom right of drawings from the French school...None of these drawings give us the keys to identifying the owner of "To You Forever", only an unsigned handwritten note kept at the Custodia Foundation proposes the hypothesis of associating the name of "Stuart" or "Stewart", for which we have not found any information"
