- Lot Description
Original oil painting on canvas by listed artist, Richard Dey De Ribcowsky (CA, Argentina, 1880 - 1936), signed lower left. Features panoramic view of a sunset seascape. Art measures 24" h x 40" w presented in a frame measuring 35" x 50".
Provenance: A well-traveled artist for his time period, Richard Dey de Ribkowsky was born in Bulgaria and at age 13 began art studies in Paris and then continued in Florence, Italy and St. Petersburg, Russia. From there he went to Buenos Aires, where in 1904, he founded the Academy of Beaux Arts. Exh: Petrograd, 1902 (medal); Uruguay Expo (Montevideo), 1908 (medal); Odessa, 1909 (prize); Rio de Janeiro Expo, 1909 (medal); Moscow, 1910 (prize); Sofia Nat'l Gallery, 1910 (prize); Southwest Int'l Fair (El Paso), 1924; Society of Independent Artists. For these items, we recommend you work with a shipper. Shipping charges are not included in the winning hammer price. If you live over 4 hours from the auction house, we will assume that you would like your items shipped. Please let us know if you do not want them shipped if you are over 4 hours away from the auction house. The card that you registered with will be charged for all shipping charges and you will also receive an email with tracking information.
