- Lot Description
A circa 1920 Italian mahogany three-piece bedroom suite decorated with inlaid secondary woods, cast bronze bas relief cherubs and floral banding, and hardwired light sconces with with art glass feather shades. The bed is king-size and has two bedside stands topped with Ashford black marble and single top drawer and cabinet below. The dresser has a large central beveled mirror, three drawers and two side cabinets, topped with Ashford black marble and two glass flip-top compartments for personal items. The armoire has a central door with full-length beveled mirror with hanging storage inside, and two flanking cabinets with interior shelving. Includes keys for all locks. The suite can be disassembled for ease of transport.
Bed: 118" wide x 87" tall x 89" long
Dresser: 61" wide x 87" tall x 24" deep
Armoire: 88" wide x 94" high x 25" deep
Provenance: This bedroom suite was once owned by actor Mickey Rourke, which has been personally verified by Mr. Rourke. Rourke has appeared in countless films since the 1980s, including Rumble Fish (1983), The Pope of Greenwich Village (1984), Year of the Dragon (1985), 9 1/2 Weeks (1986), Angel Heart (1987), Barfly (1987), White Sands (1992), Sin City (2005), and many more. He won the Golden Globe award and BAFTA Award for Best Actor for The Wrestler (2008), and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor.
Condition
Wood and decoration is in good condition, with very minor scuffing due to age and use. The marble on the dresser top has some areas of light staining. Several light sconces have been repaired.

We offer in house shipping for the majority of the items that are sold in the auction. The exceptions being furniture, bulk or heavy items like marble statues or extremely fragile items. For these items, we recommend you work with a shipper. Shipping charges are not included in the winning hammer price. If you live over 4 hours from the auction house, we will assume that you would like your items shipped. Please let us know if you do not want them shipped if you are over 4 hours away from the auction house. The card that you registered with will be charged for all shipping charges and you will also receive an email with tracking information.
