- Lot Description
Native American elder photograph on paper by tribal photographer & author, Leland Howard Marmon (USA, 1925-1921). Photograph measures 12.5" h x 9.5" w matted & presented in a frame measuring 18" x 20".
- Provenance
Marmon's works have appeared in galleries, books, and magazines, including The New York Times, The Saturday Evening Post and Time. His works were also featured in the Peabody Award-winning PBS series, "Surviving Columbus". A collection of Marmon's best-known works are featured in his award-winning 2004 book, "The Pueblo Imagination", which he wrote in collaboration with poets Joy Hario and Simon Ortiz, and his oldest daughter, novelist Leslie Marmon Silko.

We offer in house shipping for the majority of the items that are sold in the auction. The exceptions being furniture, bulk or heavy items like marble statues or extremely fragile items. For these items, we recommend you work with a shipper. Shipping charges are not included in the winning hammer price. If you live over 4 hours from the auction house, we will assume that you would like your items shipped. Please let us know if you do not want them shipped if you are over 4 hours away from the auction house. The card that you registered with will be charged for all shipping charges and you will also receive an email with tracking information.
