- Lot Description
Original oil painting on board by listed artist, Fritioff Albin Persson (CA, 1897 - 1957), signed lower left & titled on the verso "Desert Sunset". Art measures 6" h x 7" w presented in a frame measuring 8" x 9".
Provenance: Persson came to the U.S. after serving in the Canadian Army in WWI. He then studied at the ASL of NYC. About 1930 he began spending long periods in the Mojave and Colorado deserts while living in Los Angeles. We offer in house shipping for the majority of the items that are sold in the auction. The exceptions being furniture, bulk or heavy items like marble statues or extremely fragile items. For these items, we recommend you work with a shipper. Shipping charges are not included in the winning hammer price. If you live over 4 hours from the auction house, we will assume that you would like your items shipped. Please let us know if you do not want them shipped if you are over 4 hours away from the auction house.
