Pair of Inlaid Ivory Elephants - vintage pair of elephants completely inlaid with small pieces of antique ivory recycled from old dowry jewelry - each piece tacked onto the wooden base underneath, with several wheel designs of horn inlay added - some warping, displacement and loss of few pieces on one elephant, the other with some warping and displacement but no missing pieces - pair weighs over 19 pounds - each piece 12" (30 cm) high, 18" (46 cm) long, 7" (18 cm) wide and 24" (61 cm) circumference around the torso - impressive pieces.
