Late 19th C. Philadelphia Street Lamp. Manufactured in Baltimore for Welsbach by A.E Shaw & E.S. Sanderson, this Victorian lamp lit the streets of Philadelphia until it was decommissioned in 1959. The sand cast head and pole iron are cast marked Philadelphia,В Pat. October 31,В 1899. Includes original hand blown clear glass shade and milk glass bonnet, 8 foot cast iron pole and ladder rest, and can be outfitted to light via gas or electric service. Note: This lot is located off site in Mt. Airy (Philadelphia).
