- Lot Description
Howard Finster (American, 1916-2001) "George Washington" from Paradise Garden #16,979, painting on panel, signed. Size: 51'' x 13.5'', 130 x 34 cm (board). An important work that hung for years in Paradise Garden, located high above the ground, outside the gallery tunnel/ramp, facing the Keith Haring Statue. It was completed on Howard Finster's birthday on December 2, 1990 and was signed as such by the artist (see reverse).
