Takashi Kojima creates small-scale sculptures that double as wearable works of art, drawing inspiration from architecture, nature, and science. His POINT Series showcases his affinity for bold architectural designs, translated into elegant, sometimes playful shapes adorned with sparkling stones. Growing up in Kyoto with a painter father and a craftsperson mother, Kojima was influenced by both painting and the construction of Lego blocks—hobbies that continue to inform his work. While studying architecture during the day and jewelry design at night, he learned to combine the grand scale of architecture with the delicate intricacies of jewelry, blending both worlds in his creations. Kojima’s work blurs the lines between fine and applied art, craftsmanship and the daily interaction with an object. His pieces are held in prestigious collections, including the Stedelijk Museum in the Netherlands, the Musée du Bijou Contemporain in France, and the Swiss National Museum in Zurich.
