W.R. Leigh (1866-1955) Cowboy and Bears 11" x 17" sketch Signed lower left Verso: The American Scene magazine, W.R. Leigh, The Artist's Studio Collection. Bear featured on cover of the magazine may have been inspired by this sketch. Cowboy featured in sketch has been incorporated into a later W.R. Leigh painting, which may be in the Tacoma Art Museum as a part of the Haub Family Collection. Please see additional photos online. $2,000-3,000 Provenance: Judge Robert E. Beach, St. Petersburg, FL. Collector's Notes. The American Scene Magazine on verso is included in the lot.Excellent condition.
