- Lot Description
Two Pairs of Northern Plains Leggings 1) 19" overall x 7" at widest point. Beaded with different designs on each side. Late 19th century. 2) 29" long x 12" wide decorated with graduating fringe and beaded strips. 20th century. $600-800 Provenance: Private collection, Billings, MT.
Condition
1) Beadwork shows losses in some areas. Each have cloth added/sewn to the top. 2) beadwork shows some losses, hide shows some discoloration but is soft and supple. Appears to be missing something that was sewn to the bottom of the leggings at some point.
