Navajo Blanket 7'2" x 5' early Transitional Serape blanket with bright, vivid colors. Spider Woman crosses fill the voids between the bold checkered motifs and diamonds. The wool in this blanket is silky-soft, old Native long-staple Churro sheep wool. It is all hand-carded, handspun and hand-dyed by the weaver. Circa 1885. Near mint condition. $10,000-15,000 Provenance: Ranchfolks Navajo Rugs.
No a/b sides. Corner tassels intact. Overall pristine condition with the exception of one quarter sized hole near one corner. Impressive condition considering age.
