- Lot Description
Model 1842 Percussion Pistol by H. Aston Cal. 54, 8.5" round bbl with bridled steel ramrod which is stamped US, NWP and P on top rear. Tang is dated 1848. Pistol is brass mounted and attaches to stock with a single band. Inspector's marks present. Stamped MIDDtn, CONN, 1847, H. ASTON. $1,000-1,500Very fine condition. Considerable clean. Stock retains nearly all original oil finish with minor dents/marks . Inspectors initials are sharp and clear. Bore is bright and shinty, lock crisp.
