- Lot Description
Cree Beaded Dag Sheath and Dag Knife 28" overall with bandolier strap. Dag knife has a hand-forged iron blade secured to a wooden handle with molten lead, which is also embellished with lead inlays. Sheath and bandoleer are made of Native tanned hide and red and black trade cloth embellished with white crow beads. Circa 1830. $8,000-12,000 Provenance: Bradfords Auction Gallery, 2023; Collection of Jeb Taylor.
Condition
Hide is stiff, minor mothing on trade cloth.
