• Lot Description
  This French Napoleon III antique lamp from the 19th century was originally an oil lamp, but it has since been converted to electric for use in a contemporary space. The beautifully ornate chiselled bronze is what makes this piece special. Leaves and scroll designs of silky, bright bronze adorn the lamp, with even the smallest elements given a great deal of care the texture on the leaves is impressive up close. At 70 cms (27 in.), the lamp would be a stately addition to a contemporary study or living room. It is in very good vintage condition.
