Teresa Elliott, a native Texan, earned a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Kansas before becoming a prominent freelance illustrator in Dallas for 27 years. Transitioning to oil painting, she focused on figure, portraiture, and design, returning to her fine art roots in 2005. Based in West Texas near Big Bend National Park, Elliott's work captures the essence of the Southwest, particularly known for her realistic portrayals of cattle and rural life. Her accolades include the Artist's Choice Award at the 2008 Cowgirl Up! show and the People's Choice Award at the 2009 Coors Western Art Exhibit, along with Best of Show at the 2009 Night of Artists at the Briscoe Western Art Museum in San Antonio, Texas.Condition
The painting appears to be in good condition. Under UV examination, one small area of inpainting is visible at top left, size of a pencil eraser.
