The first part of the sale will include over 100 lots of fine jewelry from local estates and collections. After a break, the second half of the auction will be nearly 200 lots of pocket watches from makers including Hamilton, American Watch Co., Charles Frodsham, Waltham, Ball, Patek Philippe, William Harpur, Illinois and others. - Lot Description
Late 19th to early 20th c., six watches comprising: a watch with 970 21j movement in a open faced, gold filled case by Belmont, a watch with 932 16j movement in an open face, gold filled case by B. S. W C. Co with a coin edge, a watch with 975 17j movement in a highly decorated gold filled case by Keystone featuring floral and classical elements, a watch with "Hamilton Railway Special" dial, 992B 21j movement in a railroad style case by Hamilton, a watch with 973 17j movement in a gold filled "Mantauk" case, and a watch with 924 17j movement in a gold filled case by Phila. Watch Case Co.
Dimensions: Diameters range from 50mm to 54mm
Provenance: From the Sydney F Martin collection.
Condition
Two appear to not be the original movement for the cases, one has heavy wear to the base metal, two including the railway special are missing crystals, four of the dials have hairlines or chips, the rest of the cases show wear as pictured. We cannot guarantee functionality.
