- Lot Description
A George II Style Carved Mahogany Pie Crust Tilt-Top Tea Table, Incorporating Antique and Later Elements. The top and bird cage 18th century, the carved tripod base of a later date, with shell and bell flower carved knees to the cabriole legs, terminating in ball-and-claw feet.
Dimensions:Height 27 3/4in; diameter 26 1/2in.Condition
Structurally sound. In an overall good restored condition. The top with scattered small patches and filling-in from reset batons underneath. Ols repairs and reinforcements to the underside of the top. The brass hardware catch has been reset. One leg with an old repaired crack. There is an iron gusset added for reinforcement to the underside of tripod where the three legs meet the central support.
