Five North European Style Tin Glazed Earthenware Covered Apothecary / Drug Jars, 20th Century. Each modeled in the 17th/18th century style. Comprising two large covered jugs, inscribed 'Cinamon: Spir:' and 'Sy. de. Absenz.; and three small covered footed jars, inscribed 'Valeriana.'; Coriandrum.S.'; and 'Sesamum.I.' (5)
Dimensions: Height of large jugs 14 1/2in; diameter 8 1/2in; Height of smaller covered jars 9 1/4in; diameter 5in.
Provenance: Property from a Bucks County, Pennsylvania Collection Curated by Bennett and Judie Weinstock, Philadelphia.
Condition
Each having an intentionally distressed surface to imitate age and wear. Abrasions and losses to surface throughout. Dust accumulation to crevices.
