Lapis lazuli and 18K gold ultra modernist ring created by sculptor and goldsmith Sigurd Persson of Stockholm, Sweden. Ring is a finger size 5.5 and is signed with Swedish hallmarks, X9 (1972), 18K. In very good vintage condition showing signs of normal wear on the gold conducive with age. 10.4 grams. The following bio was taken from the Finnish Design Shop website, with thanks: Sigurd Persson (1914äóñ2003) was a Swedish sculptor, blacksmith and professor, who is considered one of the most significant Swedish designers of the 20th century. Growing up in a goldsmith family, Persson founded his own studio in Stockholm in 1942, and during his long career he designed objects in various materials such from metal to glass and plastic. Besides numerous households in Scandinavia and elsewhere, Perssonäó»s designs can be found from collections of many museums, such as New Yorkäó»s MoMA, Musí©e des Arts Dí©coratif in Paris and Londonäó»s Victoria & Albert Museum.Wear consistent with age and use. In very good vintage condition showing signs of normal wear on the gold conducive with age.
