Three items, including an oil on canvas, undated, signed 'Sanders' lower right, 16-inches x 12-inches (canvas), depicting a female figure dressed in furs, housed in an elaborate wood frame; an oil on canvas, undated, unsigned, 20.75-inches x 16.5-inches (canvas), depicting a portrait of Ralph Waldo Emerson, housed in a gold tone wood frame; and an oil on canvas, undated, signature appears to read 'M. Chavardis' lower left, 22.75-inches x 14-inches (canvas), depicting a female figure from the waist up in 3/4 view, housed in a gold tone wood frame
Condition: Very Good to Fair, Emerson portrait having had extensive conservation attempts, including tears with repairs at lower right quadrant and at center, as well as significant inpainting at face area and on coat area; 3/4 view female portrait having a dent to canvas at center, paint losses to lower edge; chips and wear to frames; not examined out of the frames
