Narcissa Thorne (American, 1882-1966) Miniature Room
Miniature room box of a formal Victorian room with painting over a pink fainting couch and a gilt clock over the painting, Aubusson style runner, painting flanked by gilt candle sconces, two plant stands having floral bouquets, wallpapered exterior and signed label en verso 'Architectural Fantasy by Narcissa Thorne', many of her dioramas are on display at the Art Institute of Chicago; together with a miniature hand-crafted piano by 'Fjone, 1999'; property from a Highland Park, Illinois collector
Condition: Very Good, overall light wear consistent with normal use; piano missing two wheels; miniature floor peeling at lower left seam; scuffs with paint loss to edges of frame not examined out of the frame
