1864, having 40-inch long round barrel, (3) barrel bands having matching marks, (2) sling swivels, tulip head ram rod and flip-up rear sight, lockplate marked with date, eagle and 'US Jas D. Mowry Norwich Conn.' with left side of barrel having inspection mark and butt plate marked 'US'
