1742, Paris, 1st edition, volume #2 only (of 2) having (61) engravings and etchings, (5) of which are on double sheets, several of which employ chiaroscuro woodblock over etched image technique and (2) true chiaroscuro woodblock prints, after paintings of celebrated artists by various engravers; bound with 45-page text in period gold-stamped full mottled calf having marbled end-papers
