Chester (1913) hallmarks, sponsor's mark for George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, the front engraved "Carolina Cup Races / The Baron DeKalb / 1 1/2 Miles over Hurdles," the verso engraved "To Be Won Three Times / Winners;" a two-handled cup and cover in the Neoclassical style.12.25 in.22 troy oz.The Carolina Cup is an annual steeplechase horse race held at the Springdale Race Course in Camden, SC.The finial pressed down and with tear to underside.
