oil on canvas (lined), signed and dated 1873, presented in the likely original gilt composition frame.SS 19.5 x 35.25 in.; DOA 27.5 x 44 in.Prentice was born on a farm in Lewis County, near Harrisburgh (now Harrisburg), New York, just west of the Adirondack Park. His early work included large panoramic vistas of the Adirondacks before he moved to New York City and eventually specialized in still lifes.Professionally restored and ready for display.
