color lithographs, 1895-1900, to include Hohenstein's Iris, Boano'sTeatro Regio - Torino, Steinlen's Helle, and Rochegrosse's L'Op_ra Comique: Louise, each with blindstamp, matted and presented in attractive matching silvered frames.SS 15 x 11 in. (each approximately); DOA 23.35 x 18.25 in. (each)Due to the popularity of the large, colorful advertisement posters in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, famed lithographer Jules Ch_ret (French, 1836-1932) organized the Ma_tres de l'Affiche series as a grouping of 256 lithographic prints that were smaller versions of the larger posters. The Ricordi Portfolio is a similar portfolio that was published in Italy, and a grouping of these prints is also offered in this sale.Some toning; some spotting to one; one with small tears; not examined out of frames.
