19th century, northern elm wood, rare four-section design, the top is made of two equal-sized wood pieces that insert horizontally into the two side towers, the two side towers are identical with two small drawers with differing hardware, the bottom of the towers has a grid like open lattice design, this style desk is sometimes referred to as a "doctor's desk."31 x 58 x 29 in.A rare four-section design, typically seen only as three-section, the center wood area divides into two and allows the two ends and these two sections to be stored as one vertical item, ideal for traveling and storage.Good estate condition with some wear appropriate with age.
