- Lot Description
18th-19th century, possibly huanghuali wood, the tapered cabinet is considered to be one of the most beautiful forms of Chinese classical furniture with rounded corners joined by four round posts at each corner forming the tapered silhouette, pair of doors with wooden dowels fitting into sockets in the upper frame and lower front rail, above a plain narrow apron with curved spandrels, the interior of this cabinet has three shelves and contains two drawers, may have been used to hold clothing.81 x 42 x 20 in. Similar to the tapered cabinet sold at Christie's, New York, on September 17, 2015.Good estate condition.
